I was so excited last night because my giveaway prize pack came from David's Mommy blog. It included all the inserts from the 1/29 paper. Her area received the $5 Colgate mail in rebate (which we did not receive in Columbus) so I had to head out to take advantage of the CVS sale on Lady Speed Stick.
Now, I'll say, I did NOT want to get this many deodorants. My original plan was a Colgate, Irish Spring & a pack of Soft soap bar soap along with a few Lady Speed sticks. I went to my usual store and they had 2 Lady Speed Sticks. That was it. I purchased those 2 (which rang up $.99 instead of $1.99 - so it messed things up a little more) and went to a different store. They only had 2 also and didn't carry the soft soap bar soap. At this point I remembered that I had to spend $10 in one transaction for my $5 rebate to be valid. The cashier there checked the local stores around and none showed more than 5 in stock. That would have only put me at $9.95 & I needed $10. Sure, I could have added the toothpaste, but because of the deodorants ringing up $.99 at the first store, it threw off my numbers and I would have actually been paying out of pocket, instead of it being a money maker. I had to take our nieces home today and stopped by a CVS on the way and they had TONS of the Lady Speed sticks...probably 30+!
So...here is how it went:

Our daughter is completely potty trained, so I'm not sure what I'll do with princess diapers. I figure I can give them away or our son can rock the pink at nighttime :) At $.94 for 40 diapers I HAD to get them! As for the deodorant...that is an item that can always be donated
