There is a *HOT* Huggies wipes deal currently at Walgreen's. I called 1 store this morning to see if they had them in stock and they had already been cleared out. I called another location and they said they still had "a bunch" so I headed right out to pick some up. When I got there, there was approx. 10 packages on the shelf. So, in my opinion, not a bunch and I'm sure they will all be gone tonight. I was able to get the 3 packages I wanted so I was happy!!
OOP: $4.47
Savings of: $19.50
3 Huggies natural care wipes 216 per package - $5.99 each
-used $2.00 coupon found in the August coupon booklet (located at the front of the store with the ads)took off $6.00
-used $2.00 Walgreen's coupon from the Infant Care coupon booklet - took off $6.00. (This booklet will be hard to find now. It came out in February and not many stores had them. It does have a lot of good coupons good through 12/31 - so if you are really interested you may be able to find some on eBay...sadly enough)
-used 3 $.50 coupons from the Sunday paper (maybe 7/10?)
Most blogs will list a wipe deal as *HOT* when you can get the wipes for $.02 each. I don't consider $.02 a good deal. You should always be able to get wipes for $.01 each or less when paired with coupons and sales. With this shopping trip my wipes came out to less than $.01 each.
To figure out the cost per wipe take whatever amount you paid divided by how many wipes you received.
For example: (using my above transaction)
$4.47 / 648 = .0068 (less than .01 a wipe!)
If you purchase a pack of 64 wipes with no coupons, this is approx. how much you are paying for each wipe:
$2.49 (average price of wipes) / 64 (average count in packages) = .038 - so, basically .04 a wipe.
