So...this may be my first rambling post since I have started blogging. But, something has been driving me crazy & I need to write it down for others who may understand...cause my husband sure doesn't :)
On the show Extreme Couponing...each and every cast member talks about how they spend 30, 40, 50 hours a week looking for deals, cutting coupons & sorting them. They consider it their job. Most of the people on the show have kids & I truly DO NOT understand how they spend any time with their kids & coupon like they do.
I have 2 kids...1 is almost 14 months & the other is 31 months. I honestly, don't even find 10 minutes a day to sit down and sort through my coupons. I probably could spend an hour at night after they go to bed doing it...but I have other things I do instead (like write this post lol) No way could I sit down and organize my coupons and expect my kids to play for more than 10 minutes without me getting side tracked somehow.
I know plenty of people who get up on Sunday morning, organize their 3 papers they get each week & hit the stores. I roll outta bed when my kids do, clip the coupons I need for that day...and go.
I only get 1 paper a week and I thought I would share just how behind I am on organizing my coupon binder. I don't think I have used a coupon once this month at the grocery store...because frankly, it is too overwhelming to try to find the 1 I may need.
Warning....this may be scary to organized, coupon clippers :)
This is my stack of inserts I haven't even bothered clipping yet. I should have laid them all out so you could see just how many there is, but I believe there is around 20 inserts there.
Sighh....
My goal tomorrow is to spend an hour of the kids naptime & begin organizing all of this. It should be fun :)

I totally understand. It bothers me too that there are people who (at least seem to) choose to not spend time with their kids and coupon instead.
Even if you just use a few coupons a week, it adds up over time. Do you what you can, fellow mom/couponer!!
Thanks for your blog/FB. :-)

I am a mother of 4. I do not have 10 minutes a week let alone 50 hrs to devote to coupons! I use sites that match the coupons with the sales. Without them I would not be able to save the money I have been. I am satisfied if I can save 50% at the grocery store. Any more than that and I am ecstatic! lol. What I always tell people is that if you can save at least $25 a week, thats $100 a month, and $1200 a year. How could you not be happy with that??!! I know I am!!!
