I wanted to head out today (since I was out anyway) and finally hit Meijer & Kroger before the "big" winter storm hit. I had a little hiccup at both stores though but I'll explain each below. Today was certainly not a great day to take the kids shopping. They were up at 6:30 am to go to the Target toy clearance and my son let EVERYONE know in each store how tired he was by having flipouts 50% of the time. Sigh. Distractions like that can really mess up your concentration....& probably drive everyone else crazy :) So, had I not been so busy trying to keep our son calm, I think things would have went a little smoother.
Kroger

I went through the Uscan (mistake when using coupons at Kroger since you have to hand them over instead of scanning yourself like Giant Eagle) & I think the cashier was confused by my coupons. I didn't have a lot...11 total, but it took over 5 minutes to scan in those 11 coupons. My husband was there and the kids were flipping out...so it was a VERY long 5 minutes! I had 2 BOGO Sunbird coupons and 2 $1.00 coupons, but somehow my BOGO Sunbird coupons got scanned 4 times and my $1.00 coupons zero. Maybe because the $1.00 would have given overage? Either way...I'm not sure, but it still worked out better than I thought. I also scored a Catalina for a FREE Breathe Right strips! Hoping there may be a CVS deal on them before it expires :)

I had grabbed 3 of the Kikkoman seasonings, but it looks like only 2 got rang up....so I am guessing we lost one while walking around Meijer. I had 3 coupons in my stack though for $1.00 & I didn't notice I didn't really get 3 until I got home. Opps. I try SO hard to make sure I always use the coupons correctly, but as you can see, we all make mistakes. I also picked up one of the Pictionary card games because I have heard that it IS okay to use the $5.00 coupon currently available on coupons.com and I have heard it is NOT okay. I wanted to see if the coupon went through or came up "no vendor found" but my son was flipping out and I got preoccupied so I didn't see when he scanned the coupon. I guess that coupon may be YMMV as I still am unsure if it is okay to see on the card game.
