Last week I heard about a game on Facebook called "MyVegas". It is basically a game run by MGM hotels and allows you to play online games and earn free credits for real rewards. You can cash your points out for free hotel nights at MGM brand hotels in Las Vegas, free dining credits, free show tickets, free drinks and more! I originally thought there was no way a company would be giving out freebies this easily, but you can head over to the MGM Las Vegas site and find a direct link to the game on their website!
I have been playing it for 1 week now and have already earned 12,500 points! Free rooms seem to vary from 7,000 points to 125,000 points (for a 2 night stay) depending on the current promotion and the hotel you select.
Now, with all that said about the MyVegas game, going to Vegas is one time when you should NEVER pay list price for a room or show! You can always find deals on just about anything you may want to do while there. My husband and I went to Las Vegas for the first time in 2009 and stayed at the Monte Carlo hotel. The upgraded us to a suite FOR FREE! So, we paid the regular room rate and got the $250 room for free! It was great!
You can now sign up for the MGM hotels newsletter and be the first to know about special deals and promotions (like $25 hotel days!) I just signed up and I was able to select the exact hotels I wanted to receive promotions for. So, if you only ever want to stay at Bellagio you can select to only receive special offers from them! This is one great way to learn about the deals available and avoid paying full retail price next time you go.
