Here is my Kroger run today that I am so excited to share! I purchased 50 items that were included in the mega sale and 32 that were not. I didn't have coupons for everything and some items were impulse buys (like the chocolate milk:)) so I was actually shocked my total ended up so low! I used zero insert coupons, a TON of internet prints and then some coupons that I have received with free samples or from promotions! I also had $31.61 in pharmacy rewards that I used. If you are not familiar with pharmacy rewards it's a great program Kroger currently has going on! Whenever you transfer a prescription from a different pharmacy (it can not be a new fill) you will receive $25 in pharmacy rewards. You can use the rewards toward anything in the store besides filling prescriptions! They also take competitor pharmacy coupons, so I used a Meijer pharmacy Catalina and originally had $50 in pharmacy credit. I used some of it last week and therefore had $31.61 left.
If you are new to my blog, I will let you know my husband works at a small grocery store and I rely on him to get our fruits, veggies, meats, spices...and things that usually don't have coupons. Therefore, usually when I have a grocery shopping trip to share it is completely coupon related and I try to have a coupon for most items I am purchasing.
I totally messed up today thinking it was the 28th and I was going to receive $1.50 Catalina from the Kleenex...but it doesn't start until tomorrow. You can read about the Kleenex Catalina here
My store was wiped clean of the free Reach Toothbrushes and free Reach Floss so I had to pick up a few random mega sale items to reach 50.
