The store i went to had a sign up still for the Charmin wipes advertising they were FREE when you purchased a Charmin toilet paper. (I guess it had ended though) They didn't ring up free at the register so i had to get refunded afterwards.  The current promotion is buy 2 select Charmin's and get a $5.00 gift card. There is also a promotion for the banana boat sunscreen - purchase 2 select products get a $5.00 gift card.

Marsh shopping trip!

So, until yesterday i had never heard of the grocery store Marsh. I found out though they were tripling all coupons $1.00 and under. This makes for A LOT of free stuff! When i got there this evening i was greeted by TONS of couponers and empty shelves. So, my trip didn't go exactly as planned. I was still able to get a lot for next to nothing! I won't list out all the details because the closest Marsh to my area is 90 mins away, so i doubt many people are going to hop in the car to go. We were in the area of one though today so it kinda justified stopping :)

OOP: 2.82 SAVINGS OF 91.18 (97%)

The only items i paid for were:
1 box of Mini wheat's .89
chi chi tortillas .50
battery .69
town house crackers .49 each

I received a little overage on some coupons also. Everything else was FREE when the coupons tripled!!

Shopping trips 5/26

I totally forgot to take pics today....but i wanted to post anyway! I had some great trips today :)

Giant Eagle:

4 Solo plastic cups 2.50 each
-used 4 .75/1 coupons available here
6 Playtex Sport 2.49 each (these are Buy 1 get 1 free but they ring up 2.49 each no matter how many you buy)
-used 5 1.00 coupons available here
-used 1 .150/1 coupon from the 5/22 Sunday paper
2 Ball Park beef franks 2.84 each (these are Buy 1 get 1 free but they ring up 2.84 each no matter how many you buy)
-used 2 .75/1 coupons available here (you will need to refresh the page until you see a Ball Park banner across the top of the website. Wait for it to finish loading and hit "print coupon")
Ball Park deli style hot dogs 4.00
-used 2.00/1 Catalina that printed on a previous shopping trip
Ground beef 3.51
Fresh Express salad 1.69
-used 1.00/1 coupon from facebook (no longer available)
2 Butterfinger crisp .49 each (these are Buy 1 get 1 free but they will ring up .49 each no matter how many you buy)
-used .50/2 coupon from the 5/1 Sunday paper

When you purchase 4 Solo Cups at 2/$5.00 you will receive $4.00 OYNO. If you can print 4 .75/1 coupons, after the OYNO, its like getting all 4 sets of cups for FREE!

The Playtex sport is currently part of Giant Eagle's spend $25.00 on select products get $10.00 OYNO. This Catalina is working off shelf price. Each Playtex sport is 4.98 base on shelf price.  Purchasing 6 of these will get you over the $25.00 mark. Remember though these are on sale for 2.49 a box. If you can get your hands on 6 of the 1.50/1 coupons from the 5/22 paper you will be in for a sweet deal! I only had 1 of those coupons, so my transaction looked like this:
2.49x6=14.94
minus $1.50 coupon= 13.44
minus 5 $1.00 coupons=8.44
Therefore after the $10.00 OYNO it is like this is a MONEYMAKER of 1.56!!

Walmart
OOP: 1.14

Purex 1.98 (priced matched to CVS) Walmart price was 2.97
-used 1.00/1 coupon from the 5/1 Sunday paper

-used 2 $1.00 coupons from the 5/1 Sunday paper
-used $1.00 coupon found in the Walgreens May coupon booklet (deducted $2.00)
-used $2.00 off in ad coupon - found in the most recent Walgreens circular (deducted $4.00)

I had $4.00 in coupons for a product that only cost $3.19. Therefore my overage went toward the Sucnci and made my OOP very low!

Meijer
OOP: 1.23 savings of 5.38

Some of you may know, i HATE Kroger's. I have said i will not give them ANY of my money because i dislike how they have changed their coupon policy. I rarely shop there and when i do, my orders look a lot like this. When they allow stacking again, i will be willing to give them more than just my coupon "cash" :)

Do you shop online? Sign up for Shop at Home and get $5.00!

If you shop online at all, you may be interested in a site called 'Shop at Home'. Basically, they give you cash back for shopping at thousands of different stores and companies. They range from any retail store you can think of, to airline companies, to sites like snapfish & entertainment book. The cash back ranges from 1%-35% and changes daily. I have used this when purchasing things from Children's Place & Kohls and have gotten the cash back in my Shop at Home account within 2 weeks (but it can take up to 30 days). Once your account balance hits $20.00 they will mail you a check...Easy as that! It seems like it would take awhile to get to the $20.00, but if you are shopping online anyway, you'll reach that goal in no time.

Just for signing up through this link you will receive a $5.00 sign up bonus! FREE MONEY! So what are you waiting for? (you can also sign up through the link on the side of the page to earn your $5.00 credit:))

My savings year to date...

Couponing is a super easy way to save your family some money. Who doesn't like a little extra spending cash in their pocket at the end of the month? I have a spread sheet that i use to track my receipts. It helps me keep track of how much we are spending...and how much we are saving! I try to input my receipts daily, but it seems like i usually have a stack of 20-30 to do all at one time! Here is what my spreadsheet looks like so far this year.

This includes ALL household food, toiletries, snacks, health and beauty...pretty much anything but bills. The only thing i am bad at is including rebates....i always seems to forget to list them. Rebates are a GREAT way to make a profit on an item...but we will discuss that in a different thread:)

Weekly shopping trips 5-15 thru 5/18

I don't have pictures this week of all my trips but i will list them out & hopefully that will help some:)

Walgreen's
OOP: 1.43 & i received $3.00 RR

I purchased:
Gillette Body wash 3.34
2 Old Spice body wash 3.33 each
Dove deodorant 3.99
Gillette deodorant 4.99
2 Scotch magic tapes 1.99 each
Scotch envelops 1.99
2 Peanut m&ms - .39 each

I used:
2.00/1 Gillette body wash
Buy one Gillette body wash get one Gillette deodorant free - 4.99
Buy one Old spice body wash get one free - 3.33
1.00/1 Old Spice body wash
1.00/1 Dove deodorant
2 1.00/1 Scotch magic tape (available here)
Walgreen's in ad coupon for buy 1 scotch product get 2 free
$6.00 in Register rewards from previous transactions

The great thing about most buy one get one free coupons is that you can use $x.xx/1 coupon also on the item that you are not getting free. so, for example, i used a Gillette buy one body wash get one deodorant free. So, i could use a $x.xx/1 body wash coupon also!

You'll notice the random m&m's...i needed these as "fillers" so i did not have more coupons than items (Walgreen's counts all register rewards as Manufacture coupons and not store coupons)

Giant Eagle
OOP: 5.49 and i received $4.00 OYNO

I purchased:
2 Gillette Mach 3 razors - 6.99 each
Sister schuberts frozen rolls - 3.49

I used:
3.00/2 Gillette Mach 3 eoffer
Buy one Gillette Mach 3 get one free - 6.99
1.00/1 Gillette Mach 3 razor
1.00/1 Sister Schuberts rolls

Giant Eagle
OOP: 11.25 with $7.00 OYNO

9 Ragu sauces 1.25 each

This was a GREAT transaction for anyone who doesn't have any coupons to start. (there are currently no Ragu coupons available) Giant Eagle was having a sale purchase $20.00 in select products get $7.00 OYNO. The great thing about Giant Eagle is that the when they have a sale like that (or the razors i purchased above) it goes off shelf cost NOT sale cost. So, the Ragu was 1.25 on sale, but the shelf price was 2.29. 2.29*9=20.61. 9 of them got me over the $20.00 i need, but i only paid 11.25. if you minus the 7.00 OYNO it was like i only paid .47 a jar! That is a GREAT price for pasta sauce and what most would consider a "stock up" price!

Lastly i wanted to include a picture of my most recent CVS receipt. Before couponing i NEVER shopped at a drug store. I always thought they were expensive and over priced. I could never figure out why people would want to waste money there....

If you look at the receipt since March 1st i have only spent 27.29 in CVS. Year to date though i have saved $803.01!! That averages out to $178.45 in savings every MONTH!! If you learn to play the "drug store game" you can get amazing deals...and spend very little!

I reached my Swagbucks goal!!

I have been working hard the last 3 weeks to get 5795 Swagbucks so i could get a $50.00 Southwest gift card. Well.....I REACHED MY GOAL!! I am super excited and can't believe i was able to do it! It was no where near as hard as i thought it would be and it awesome to know our plane tickets for vacation will be that much cheaper:) I am going to try to get another $50.00 gift card by July so we can save $100.00 on the plane tickets!

I hope this post will help some people decide to FINALLY sign up for Swagbucks! I have been a member for a few months but just started really trying to reach my goal. What could be better than getting a free gift card just for searching the web, doing a few surveys and watching a few videos! :)

Interested in signing up for Swagbucks? join here. I hope to see a few more people decide to try it out! If you need help learning what the heck to do, feel free to ask!
