Weekly shopping trips 5-15 thru 5/18

I don't have pictures this week of all my trips but i will list them out & hopefully that will help some:)

Walgreen's
OOP: 1.43 & i received $3.00 RR

I purchased:
Gillette Body wash 3.34
2 Old Spice body wash 3.33 each
Dove deodorant 3.99
Gillette deodorant 4.99
2 Scotch magic tapes 1.99 each
Scotch envelops 1.99
2 Peanut m&ms - .39 each

I used:
2.00/1 Gillette body wash
Buy one Gillette body wash get one Gillette deodorant free - 4.99
Buy one Old spice body wash get one free - 3.33
1.00/1 Old Spice body wash
1.00/1 Dove deodorant
2 1.00/1 Scotch magic tape (available here)
Walgreen's in ad coupon for buy 1 scotch product get 2 free
$6.00 in Register rewards from previous transactions

The great thing about most buy one get one free coupons is that you can use $x.xx/1 coupon also on the item that you are not getting free. so, for example, i used a Gillette buy one body wash get one deodorant free. So, i could use a $x.xx/1 body wash coupon also!

You'll notice the random m&m's...i needed these as "fillers" so i did not have more coupons than items (Walgreen's counts all register rewards as Manufacture coupons and not store coupons)

Giant Eagle
OOP: 5.49 and i received $4.00 OYNO

I purchased:
2 Gillette Mach 3 razors - 6.99 each
Sister schuberts frozen rolls - 3.49

I used:
3.00/2 Gillette Mach 3 eoffer
Buy one Gillette Mach 3 get one free - 6.99
1.00/1 Gillette Mach 3 razor
1.00/1 Sister Schuberts rolls

Giant Eagle
OOP: 11.25 with $7.00 OYNO

9 Ragu sauces 1.25 each

This was a GREAT transaction for anyone who doesn't have any coupons to start. (there are currently no Ragu coupons available) Giant Eagle was having a sale purchase $20.00 in select products get $7.00 OYNO. The great thing about Giant Eagle is that the when they have a sale like that (or the razors i purchased above) it goes off shelf cost NOT sale cost. So, the Ragu was 1.25 on sale, but the shelf price was 2.29. 2.29*9=20.61. 9 of them got me over the $20.00 i need, but i only paid 11.25. if you minus the 7.00 OYNO it was like i only paid .47 a jar! That is a GREAT price for pasta sauce and what most would consider a "stock up" price!

Lastly i wanted to include a picture of my most recent CVS receipt. Before couponing i NEVER shopped at a drug store. I always thought they were expensive and over priced. I could never figure out why people would want to waste money there....

If you look at the receipt since March 1st i have only spent 27.29 in CVS. Year to date though i have saved $803.01!! That averages out to $178.45 in savings every MONTH!! If you learn to play the "drug store game" you can get amazing deals...and spend very little!
