SWAG BUCKS!!

If you are on my facebook you probably have noticed a lot of Swagbucks post. I am guessing many of you have no idea what swagbucks is...well hopefully this post can help explain it to you:)

SIGN UP HERE
How does SwagBucks work:

Swagbucks is basically a search engine like Google. Although, unlike Google, with Swagbucks the more you search...the more you earn! When you register for Swagbucks, you will get started with 30 SB (swagbucks). You can either search by going to to the Swagbucks homepage or you can download the toolbar. I chose to download the toolbar because it reminds you to search & makes it super easy. (There is a field where you just type in what you wanna search for!) It produces the same results as Google would but will reward you for searching a few times a day. You can usually win swagbucks 3 to 4 times a day & the value is anywhere from 7-50 SB. You will not win with every search, but if you search for things a few times in the morning, a few times in the afternoon & a few times in the evening you should be able to get a few wins. You will know you have won Swagbucks when you see something similar to this above your search results:

What do I do with my SwagBucks I earn?:

It will take a little time to start having your Swagbucks build up. Once you start to get some though, you can head over the the swagstore and see what is available to redeem your SB on. (if you have the toolbar installed you will just click on the "redeem" tab) The most popular option by far is the $5.00 Amazon giftcard for 450 Swagbucks. It may seem like a lot, but if you search and use the features of SwagBucks you will collect the points in no time. (lately it takes me 2 days to get enough for the $5.00 Amazon giftcard). There are tons of other prizes available - giftcards, electronics, movies, jewerly, clothing..and MUCH MUCH more.

How can you search more Swagbucks or Swagbucks quickly?

**If you install the toolbar you will get 1 SB daily just for having it installed!
**There is a daily poll you can take to earn 1 SB (under the "earn" tab on the toolbar)
**You can click on "trusted surveys" daily to earn 1 SB (under the "earn" tab on the toolbar)
**There is something called "NOSO" (under the "earn" tab on the toolbar) NOSO stands for "No Obligation Special Offers". You can do this everyday to earn 2 SB. Click on the "start earning now" once you are in the NOSO page. It will show you 4-10 "special offers" click SKIP or SHOW NEXT OFFER" for each one. once you are completed it will ask you to type in a phrase...type it in and you earn SB.

Doing the 4 things above will earn you 5 SB daily.

You can also watch "swagbucksTV". This is MUCH easier to do with the toolbar installed. Swagbucks tv is basically short 2-3 minute videos. They range from how to make a meal, to how to garden, to new clothing styles. You will click on a video to watch and let it play. You don't actually have to watch the video. You can minimize it and go about whatever you were doing on the computer. If you click the "watch SBTV" on the toolbar every min or 2 you can click a new video. Once you "watch" 10 videos you will earn 3 SB. I usually do this while i am on the computer anyway, so it's an easy say to earn a few extra Swagbucks.

There is also a tab called "special offers". Once you click special offers you will see 6 different tabs with different activites you can do. They range from just providing an email to receive newsletters, to "liking" a company on facebook to taking surveys. I do recommend you sign up for a different email account if you do the special offers. I also stay away from any that say things like "free iphone" or "win 500.00"....they are a little sketchy.  The surveys alone can get anywhere from 30-90 swagbucks. Some are long and boring...but it is a super easy way to earn SB. If you qualify for all the surveys daily you can earn near 300 swagbucks a day!

Lastly there is a tab called "trusted surveys". These are other surveys you can take. They are usually worth around 50 SB. They are usually a little shorter than the special offers survey, but i find it is harder to qualify for these. When you are in the trusted survey tab there is a link that says "profiles". Click on it and take all the surveys about you. You can earn close to 75 SB by doing this!

Even more ways to earn!

Fridays are Mega Swagbucks day. This means you can usually win more times from searching and they are usually higher valued wins.

There are also special codes that are released daily (1-3 times a day) These codes are usually located on their blog, facebook page, or homepage. You can use cheat sites though to make it easier to find the codes ;)

GIANT EAGLE

OOP: (out of pocket) 7.47 & i got back 6.00 OYNO (off your next order)

here's the breakdown:
Purex was BOGO (buy 1 get 1 free) at giant eagle you don't have to buy 2 to get the sale price. so, the purex was 2.99 and i had 1.00 coupon - 1.99

uncle Ben's ready rice - 2.59 - i had a coupon for a FREE bag - FREE

Honest tea - 1.00 - i had 4 .50 coupons which doubled to 1.00 - FREE

Pantene - 2 for 7.00 - Giant Eagle has "e-offers" on their website that can be combined with paper coupons. The e-offers you just log in online and "clip" them to your card.  When you go to the store and scan your shoppers card the eoffers will come off at the end of the transaction. So, there was an eoffer for 3.00 off 2 pantene. I also had a paper coupon from the 5/1 Sunday paper for 3.00/2. So, i recieved 6.00 off my 2 pantenes. There was a glitch in the system at the time and it actually took off another 3.00 eoffer...therefore i got 9.00 off my 2 pantenes (which was more than the cost of the 2!) There was also a deal on this that you got 2.00 OYNO (off your next order) when you purchased 2. Therefore, i got "paid" $4.00 to take the Pantenes out of the store!

Pampers cruisers - 8.99 - eoffer for 1.50 & i had a paper coupon for $2.00 - 5.49
Pampers sensitive - 8.99 - eoffer for 1.50 & i  had a paper coupon for $2.00 - 5.49
They had a deal when you purchased 2 pampers diapers you got $4.00 OYNO.

Mr. clean magic eraser (pictured in my CVS picture below) - 2.49 - eoffer for 1.50 & paper coupon from the 5/1 Sunday paper for 1.50 - got "paid" .51 to take this out of giant eagle:)

I also used a $4.00 OYNO on this transaction from a previous shopping trip.

Giant Eagle does not give cash back if your ecoupons and paper coupons exceed the cost of your items. So if this is going to happen always sure you have extra items to cover the overage

CVS

OOP:  .23 & i got back 8.54 ECB (Extra Care Bucks)

2 Colgate 2.77 each- I had 2 .75 coupon from the 5/1 Sunday paper - 2.02 each - this week CVS was offering 2.77 in Extra Bucks when you purchased Select Colgate toothpaste. So I paid 2.02 each, but received 2.77 back in EBC each....therefore making it a 1.50 moneymaker

2 Right Guard - 2.99 each - I had a Buy 1 get 1 free coupon from the 5/1 Sunday paper. So, it was 2.99 for 2. CVS was offering 1.00 ECB for each 1 you purchased, therefore i received 2.00 in ECB back. After the ECB each one was .49

2 Cascade & 1 magic eraser - CVS had a deal where you purchased 10.00 in select products, you would receive 3.00 ECB. The cascades were on sale for 4.00 each and the magic eraser for 3.00. (i accidentally grabbed the wrong cascade and it rang up 8.99...but they gave it to be for 4.00!) I had 2 1.00 Cascade coupons from a P&G coupon booklet & 1.50 magic eraser coupon from the 5/1 Sunday paper. Therefore, i paid 8.00 and got back 3.00 ECB

now, the key to drugstore shopping is to "roll" (use your store rewards from last time & earn more). So i used 14.80 in ECB from previous shopping trips and i received 10.54 ECB back....which means everything here "cost" me approx 4.50! (but i used store rewards to pay for that..no my own cash:))

WALGREEN'S:

OOP: 3.74 & i got back $13.00 RR (register rewards)

Now, ill start by saying...Walgreen's is THE hardest drugstore to learn. They have a lot of coupon rules which can be tricky when you barely understand coupons to begin with! If you want to play the drug store game and are totally new to couponing i would say start at CVS or rite aid (which i do not have near my house)..and then move onto Walgreen's. Walgreen's is nice though because they do not have the limits CVS does, but starting out...you can get totally confused shopping here!

2 Noxzema razors - 3.99 each - I had 2 Internet print coupons for 2.00 - 1.99 each - Walgreen's had a deal where you get 3.00 RR when you purchase 1 - therefore after coupons & rr's i "paid" 3.98 & got back 6.00 RR

2 GUM flossers - 2.00 each - there are no coupons for these but Walgreen's is offering 2.00 in register rewards when you purchase one - so even without coupons these are FREE after RRs

2 Tylenol Precise - 7.99 each - There are Internet prints for 5.00 off 1. Walgreen's also has an in store coupon booklet when you walk in the store. In that booklet there was a coupon for 3.00 off. Combined with the Internet coupon both of these were FREE

2 Cottonelle Toilet paper - 5.00 each - used 1 .50 Internet print coupon (i had 2, but the cashier only scanned 1) - there was also a coupon in the booklet i mentioned above for 1.00 off - combining both coupons i paid 7.50 and received 3.00 RR. That made each pack 3.75.

twizzlerwalgreens)

I used $12.00 in register rewards & received 12.00 in register rewards back!

GIANT EAGLE

OOP: 8.07 & i got back another 4.00 OYNO

i also made 1 final trip to giant eagle for the new ad starts today to take advantage of the diaper deal again. so i purchased:

1 pampers swaddlers - 8.99 - used 1.50 eoffer - 1.50 coupon from the 5/1 Sunday paper
1 pampers easy ups - 8.99  used 1.50 eoffer
1 pampers wipes - 2.59 - used .50 eoffer - 3.50 paper coupon (when you purchased 1 diaper and 1 wipe together)

i also used the 4.00 OYNO from my previous diaper purchase

please note that eoffers only come off 1 time & they do not double. There were 4 different ecoupons for 4 different types of pampers diapers, so i purchased all 4. We aren't picky with our diapers so we can use cruisers, swadders, sensitive etc. If you are more specific with the type of diaper you want, deals like this would not work for you

Also, you will rarely see a "brag" from me for fruit, veggies & meat. Chuck works at a upscale grocery store & therefore purchases all that for us..usually cheaper than i can get at the store. So, don't think we totally eat unhealthy....those are just items i leave up to him to purchase;)

The beginning.....

Nowadays everyone has a blog..so i thought, why not me? I figure maybe this can help a few friends or new people learn to save some money and find some good deals. There are tons of blogs out there that tell you how to coupon, how to save a few bucks...so I'll use my site to show you the deals i got, some freebies to score & anything that may be to hot to miss:)

Thanks for joining me on this blog journey...hope you enjoy the ride! :)
